Every year we offer a wide variety of hands-on training for students interested in exploring or pursuing the Performing Arts Pathway. Students can direct after school shows, event plan, stage manage, run a makeup department, manage a news station, build a professional set, become certified in Adobe Premiere, learn how to run a light board and a sound board. Explore setting up a set for the stage and a set for the screen. Students can master and design lighting techniques for both the stage and screen, create practical effects, costumes, props and fake blood. Students have the opportunity to compete in regional, state and international competitions in Digital Cinema Production, and Broadcasting. Students have the opportunity to receive feedback based on submissions from professionals in the industry. Students compete to go on a yearly college, trade and industry tour. Students have had the opportunity to train with professionals in Burbank. Through avid outreach and industry collaboration, we are constantly building more and more opportunities for students each year to bridge the gap between our location and jobs.
